    Have Quilt Will Travel

Just got back from International Quilt Market in Kansas City.
My friend Jane needed to get a binding on one of her quilts while on a trip recently.
Here she is sewing the binding on in the airport on a 3 hour lay over.
    She got it done!
The folks in the airport were very impressed!

Can you, perhaps, post a picture of the whole quilt. It looks lovely.

Did you say 3 hr lay over? She could have given quilting classes during that time period. Quilt looks awesome what we can see of it.

Smart lady. I believe in using my time wisely, if others want to waste it have a back up plain. I used to have a Dr. that once you were called back to his exam room it would take him as much as two hours to get to me. I started taking my hand work to do while I waited, got a lot of work done. Her quilt is so pretty, I would also love to see the finished photo.

were a needle and scissors allowed on the plane? Always wondered. I guess it depends on who is working security. Took away nail clippers once.

Smart lady. I always take some hand work with me when I fly. I either do it during layovers or during the flight, but it sure fills in those extra hours. Her quilt looks cheerful and bright. Thanks for sharing.
The bad news is - time flies.
The good news is - you're the pilot!

As well they should be impressed! That is awesome and the detail is fantastic!
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

This is my question too. I used to take hand appliqué blocks but was afraid to now

Am I allowed to say the name of this quilt? It seems sometimes my posts get deleted because I mention certain things.
For example this quilt is called Red Apple Lane. Can I say who the designer is?

That is a good idea on how to use time during those long layovers.

Great way to use up otherwise lost time! I almost always bring something to airports to work on while I'm waiting. The one time I didn't, I got stuck in Dallas airport overnight! ouch!
