What a beautiful and great surprise. My DH wouldn't have asked who it was for either, so keeping it a secret wouldn't be a problem with a block pattern. The one quilt he did get was all Army fabric, so I had to keep him out of the sewing room while working on it as he would have known immediately. Congratulations for keeping it a secret and don't cave before Christmas; you are one step ahead of the game!

Beautiful and sneaky quilt for your husband.

I just cut-out this quilt, Box Squares with batiks, to take to my next retreat! I have a quilting friend who doesn't keep scraps. (Love her but ...not keeping scraps is weird!) She gave me a gallon sized zip bag full of scraps from a quilt she made last winter. Well, I have cut enough to make a 10 X10 block quilt like yours. I have enough scraps of scraps to make another quilt of odd block sizes all mashed together. Love my none scrap user friend. May she continue to quilt and give me the leftovers.

Beautiful quilt, Jim will love it. I can't keep a secret so my husband would be snuggling with it now.
