Was having a hard time getting this started. So here’s the rest of the story.
The guild had a fabric exchange of Christmas fabrics 6.5” squares. Of course there were different themes, colors, styles, quality and even 1 batik. I wanted only 1 quilt with everyone’s fabric represented. This is all kinds of rail fence 6.5” squares. Chose a Christian theme with cross of high volume checks. Found the focus block in a panel. The cross and writing give a theme and unity. I don’t do Santa, so I fussy cut to avoid his face. The quilting is silver in the form of light rays radiating from writing block.
Its hard to make fabric exchanges cohesive.
