I'm crazy about batiks and your wall hanging is just stunning. Love those bright colors!

K
A woman after my own heart, embellish those "mistakes". Absolutely beautiful.

That is absolutely beautiful. What pretty batiks and the hearts set it off perfectly.

Thanks girls! I have another one planned where the strips are arranged to form a heart and a third to make a spider's web. And I'm trying to figure out a way to NOT have to hand sew the strips on the back - have ideas, will post if it works! ;) :D

Kathryn, I was thinking that you could sew the strips on the back with a cute fancy stitch on your machine then I remembered...you are doing this QAYG aren't you? Is so...then I dunno.....

Yup - I got some of that seam sticking stuff - Wundaweb in the UK. I'm going to try attaching bias strips to the back a shade wider than the sashing on the front then SITD round the sashing to catch the edges down? Will it work? Dunno! I saw a version where the strips on the back were machined down which showed a double line of stitches on the sashing on the front but I didn't like the look of that. Keep ya posted! :-D

I love batiks and your wall hanging looks stunning. Love the idea of hanging corners on the back.
