Is that the front of the dress in the center ... I think I see a neckline and buttons??? Very nice!

I would SITD around the horizontal stripes in the border to make them stand out. SITD around the narrow black borders in the quilt. The wide black and white borders would look great in pink feathers. Put straight horizontal lines on the inside pieced borders (around the "dress") as if the black striped borders were coming through - then stiple around them. The large floral print I would stitch around the larger flowers both on the border and in the 'dress' - on the dress I would also stitch around the neckline and the buttons.

thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments and suggestions. Dog House Mom, no that isn't the dress front. I just used some of the trim and the buttons from the robe for a suggestion of the real thing. I am going to use some of the scraps on the back of this one and then use the rest of the scraps for a small wall hanging. Don't know if it will be a crazy quilt, or another contemporary design. Thanks for suggesting 'connecting' the border stripes.

How amazing you were to bring all those fabrics together. That is a lovely quilt.

I agree with Tweety, add some applique vines and leaves in the white. I think it would add so much to the quilt.
