This is exactly what I love about this forum! You have all been so helpful and the pictures are great! I really like the close ups of the leaves, as they are an interesting part of the plant itself. Thank you all for sharing your ideas, information and pictures. This is why I always say........

Thanhyou so much Cassandra, that was very good of you :D . I have been looking for a good close up of a geranium :P , thanks, also the 2nd flower is what we call a bizzie lizzie I think, but what is that last flower called? I've never seen one before, it is magnificent. I can see that as the focus flower in a block. In the photo it appears to be quite a large flower, is this correct? Thanks again for your help

Thanks Cassandra, I have heard of them, now I know the name but pretty sure I haven't seen one. They prob won't grow here because of the winters, alot of tropical and subtropical plants won't grow here because the frosts knock them back. Some of those things will grow up North where the winters aren't so harsh.
Mind you it has it's plus side too, is prob why we don't have any nasties like snakes, is just too dang cold for them. In fact we don't have much in the way of dangerous animals at all. the most dangerous animal we have is a wild pig and that's only because Europeans introduced them into the wild when they first came here.

Beautiful.... thanks for these beautiful pics!
This is my second summer in Phoenix, and OH, how I miss the beautiful greens of the midwest....there are some extraordinary flowers here too, but I do grow weary of the miles and mile of sand!
Not just sand, but HOT sand!
Yikes! ... sounds to me like I need a vacation in some cooler territory!
Thanks again for sharing...
