Question Help please with this quilt

I will be blessed with a grand-daughter next yr and my dil sent me a picture of a quilt she would like me to make.
She wants a rainbow quilt similar to the photo she has found.

How would you go about making the wide bias strips shown in this photo that make up the rainbow?
I would love your input on how you would proceed. Many thanks for your help.

I'm not sure I'd make wide bias strips. I think I would simply cut out and applique the pieces. It's really pretty!

I would not make wide bias strips, not sure if they would lay flat. I would ask her where she saw this, in my opinion it doesn't look like a rainbow. Perhaps you can find rainbow quilt patterns on line and send her those photos.

The pattern is at https://www.etsy.com/listing/1092158...ttern-beginner , but you have to click on the images to find the finished size of the quilt is 42"x52" with the rainbow block finishing at 42"x25"
