Hen Party results
I had three friends over for a sewing quilting party and solicited suggestions from the quiltingboard. The suggestions really worked:
Liquids in a closed top, ironing and cutting board in 2nd room. Safety demo of rotary cutter with reinforcement by another participant when someone was cutting towards themselves. Tray and garbage pail at each location.
AS I was told to expect I didn't get anything done. I just helped everyone else. This did show me that I love to teach quilting and I'm pretty good at it. Through word of mouth, I have two others who want to pay me to help them make T shirt Quilts.
the three projects were: 5 chair covers, a lap sized T shirt quilt, fused complicated applique quilt. The quilters were first time and they did wonderful! They were so proud! It makes me smile.
I just went with one of them today to help her buy a sewing machine. She's caught the quilting bug.
Thanks everyone for helping me make this a success.

So great to hear!! Keep up the good work, spreading our quilting bug! My DS formed a group in her very tiny (300 people) hometown several years ago. Now she could be nominated as a national treasure because of the way she has brought the community (new and very insular old) together. Just keep sharing the love!!
