Default Here it is...My fisrst ever quilt....

I have been after my daughter to get this out of storage before she lost it, and she finally has. Please be kind.(It was made before I learned to use the color wheel. Lol.). I found the background fabric at a variety store, chose two colors out of it (at least I knew that much) and using my first pattern purchased managed to make it. I was inspired by watching Nancy Zeiman and Eleanor Burns for the first time. It isn’t showy but it is one of her treasures. She has promised never to have it in storage again. (Now I can sleep nights...lol.)

It is lovely and a treasure to still have in the family.

My first quilt circa 1986 was an Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day, Trip Around the World. Yup one of the fabrics did not work, but I am glad I made it, and kept it was it was the start of my adventure in quilting.

Nice quilt. My first quilt is in the back of my car for the dog to lay on. All the batting shifted to one side

You should be very proud of yourself for a first quilt. This is a lovely memory and momento of yesteryear!

I’m sure we all remember our first quilts. I still have mine. Not on display though

Good job I like the fabric you used. You should be very proud. There will be no stopping you now. What's next?

I never use the color wheel. I think it is very pretty.

The colors look great and the pattern is a classic. Good job for a first quilt. It's nice that your daughter still has it.
