hexagon quilt

Wow, I'm not sure how this topic got picked up again (originated in 2008) but wonderfully happy that it did. That is an amazing quilt and made without the benefit of the English Paper Piecing papers or plastic templates. It is wonderfully envisioned and executed - - what inspiration your inner voice gave you. It is a beautiful update of a very traditional quilt pattern.
I am happy that you originally posted the quilt and that "bemoreonline" got it going around again. Now, I wonder how deep I should dig in the years prior to my joining the QB for more inspiring quilts.

I found this quilt treasure searching quiltboard for 'hexagons' and am so pleased !! Everything else I've seen was sort of boring (sorry!) because I was looking for a different twist and this was it !!!
Dig away and bring out those examples of intuition , creativity and brilliance !!! And, I will be sure to post pictures of mine when its done talking to me !! Sew Exciting !!!

I really like the quilt. The design of the outer edges is unique and works well with the all-over flowers.
I am doing English paper-piecing hexagons as a "take-along" project - I call it my 10 year quilt as it will "take a long" time to complete!
