Default Hexie project

Took a wonderful class from Kathy Wylie. She spoke at our Guild about her quilt For Such a Time as This, Best of Show 2018 AQS Fall Paducah show It is a magnificent quilt.
Our class was about using the Appliquick tools to prepare hexies and machine appliqué to sew them together. We all chose our own projects. I decided to use fabric left from my quilt to make a runner for my old sewing machine from my Grandma. I have already made a rug from the scraps. She is a great quilter and teacher. She showed us how she made the quarter inch circles that were in her quilt Amazing!!!!!!

Really nicely done. Your g-ma would have been proud of you. It looks stunning on her old sewing machine.

Vey pretty...Beautiful job.....The Appliquick method is the only way I make hexi's. Any EPP pattern can be done this way. Your teacher's quilt is stunning and deserved the Best of Show. During her interview, she shared using Appliquick for many small elements because of the level of preciseness it needed. She said 20% was Appliquick method. I've been doing Appliquick from the very beginning of my applique journey.
