Thanks for all the suggestions. I will try them. I get tired of hand binding. I just finished a quilt where I hand sewed the back and it took forever!
I've never done a flange binding. They are so pretty. Another one I'll try, thanks all!

If you match the thread colour to the backing, it leaves just a barely visible line of stitches. It is also excellent for keeping the edges of table runners, placemats etc. extra straight and flat.
