Default Home-warming gift

Hello, I haven't posted for a while. It doesn't mean I haven't been quilting!

Ladies and gentlemen, may I have the pleasure of presenting this quilt that I have made for my friend for his new apartment. He moved in in spring, so I was a bit late with the gift, but he got it before the onset of real cold. He was happy about it and so was his cat.

As you can see, I did not have enough flower fabric and I had to make it up with some beige stuff on the sides.

This is a close-up of the pattern:

And this is the rear side:

This quilt might even work as two-sided

Very nice "square in a square" quilt. I want to do one of those with my scraps. I'm sure your friend will be pleased with your gift!

That quilt will be well loved. It's very pretty & looks like the "beige stuff" was planned. It sure will work as a two-sided quilt. I really like the back.
P.S. Cats really, really like quilts.

I like the colors of your quilt and your design change in the outer blocks add to the interest of the pattern. Perfect!
Your quilt looks so soft. What batting did you use?
