Be Honest - Did this turn out bad?

If you are really worried about it - let the look on her face decide - I suspect she will be absolutely thrilled when she gets it ;)

I love the fabric choices, I did not find a matching thread so I used a contrasting thread, it just seems to flimsy to me. She is going to another country and wanted something easy to carry. I made the handles a little longer for her so she could throw it over her shoulders.
I just am disappointed. I would probably have felt better if I did not use the contrasting (black) thread.

The construction looks fantastic, and the customer chose the fabric...what's not to love?
The *only* thing I'm not seeing is a "pop". The blue fabric does brighten up the print that she chose, though. What if you sewed some red ribbon where the fabrics join? How hard would that be at this point?

Honestly, as a mom with young kids who still has to carry a diaper bag occasionally, I think it looks great. I would love that it can squish up, the straps look plenty long to manuevor it toward the back while wrangling kids, it looks like it has several outside pockets that are easy to access, and it appears to be a good size. The contrasting thread doesn't look like it stands out nearly as much as you seem to think it does and I bet she will love it!
