I made the first for my niece who is 11 and is taking riding lessons and loves horses. My sister in law loved it so much that she asked me if she could hire me to make another for my nieces friend who also took lessons...so I made the second for the friend...I love appliques...must be something abt my childhood and cutting out paper dolls...
Used the same backing for both

    Great Job!
What type of Applique did you do on the horses? Also, can you tell me where you got the pattern of the horse from?

Thank you and once again, LOVE the quilts!!

Very nice! Always have loved the fabric you used for the back & front strips. Horses in motion - such beautiful animals.

I found this one online just by going in with Free Applique outlines or patterns. Most are tiny and I just enlarge them to size I want to work with on my copy machine. I do the same with pictures I might see in a book or mag...even fabric. If the fabric has an interesting subject then I put it right on the copy machine.
