    Horses

When you live near the Kentucky Derby, you quilt horses. My friend Judy pieced this wonderful horse quilt.

That's a great quilt! and you did such a great job on the quilting too (but you always do!) . It's such a pleasure to see what's next in your quilting queue.

I love the Kentucky derby, the celebrations, the hatted ladies. It's all so exciting even though I have lived in the midwest all my life. There is a romanticism aura about the entire race season leading up to the Belmont Stakes. The quilt is amazing and so wonderful. Your quilting, which is always amazing, compliments this quilt so beautifully. I wish it were mine. Now reality sets in and I'll go back to doing what I do stitch by stitch. Thanks so much for sharing.

So evocative of the country and horse culture. I love how you quilted in the horse shoes and boots.
