If I will ever buy a new machine I will go by the shape. Or at least for one without a cheap plastic cover.

    Greetings

not enough of the green fabric and it shines through a bit

That is so cute. I also love the one you did for your sewing machine. Are you using patterns?

thank you all so much for your positiv feedback - my husband is just making fun of me as it is the first time besides curtains that I make house decoration.
He even suggested that I leave the windows of the covers open and turn the lights of the machines on and then sit in the dark sewingroom to enjoy it!?

I had no pattern, this time I cut the thin plastic cover apart and just added seamallowance. With the cover of the embroidery machine I mesured the sides and cut them out of muslin. Then I tapped them to the machine and ajusted till it fit. Cutting the muslin cover apart I had the pattern.

I might be fun to make a Quilt cover also. First I have to pick up my sewing room and do some other work............

    have a nice day
    Granny

thanks again for your nice response. I think without it I would have quit tonight.
DH is very suportive of my sewing hobby, but working on my third cover for the coverlock he was making a joke about keeping covering things to my sewing room - please! It was the kind of joke you could tell, that he really worries about that kind of decoration in the rest of the house

Well, my sewing machine table and the cutting table I am working on were built by him, so I forgive him for not liking my covers

I kinda liked your husband's idea about the windows! Both of the covers were just darling.
