Default House quilt - MSQC tute - too long???

This quilt top is everything I wanted it to be - or will be when it's sandwiched and quilted anyway. But it's much longer than I expected - 66 X 91. I wanted it for a throw. This is more twin size. on the roofs where you see stitching I have my daughter and her husband's names, place they met, date of wedding, towns they've lived in, son's name and birth date.... that sort of thing. I first discussed this here:

(This also includes the link to the tutorial.)

My daughter is moving into a new house that is a bit closer to me - less than an hour's drive - in mid-June. I think she's going to love this.

You need one printed layer cake - this is Moda's Simply Marks - Simple Marks? something like that. A charm of the same line and a neutral layer cake.

The first detail pic says "Wherever we are ... " on one roof and "we're home" on the next.

Right now I just plan on stitching around each house and then doing some simple meanders or something in the white spaces. That Dream batting needs only stitching every 12 inches so that should work.

you know, just looking at it laying on the rug makes me want a larger border on the right side. I like the off set look and it would help it be wider and not so rectangular. great quilt!!!

If you leave it this long maybe it will fit over all your laps when you cozy on the couch when your kids visit!
