Love the extra blocks you mixed in! They really make the quilt something different and special.

Great way you assembled your blocks in varying positions. Gives it real interest instead of ho-hum, especially with your little add-ons.

Thank you for all the nice comments. I am really pleased at how it dresses up the stair area. All the fabrics were scraps or leftovers from other projects, or fabric from my small (compared to many!) stash. When I am recovered from this project, I think I'll make another house quilt. I see so many cute ones when I Google them.

Tess and others, I never thought of adding holiday shapes at various times of the year. The stores do have a lot of cute buttons now. I like that idea! I think I need a U.S. flag somewhere on it.

I love all the details. I esp like the tiny quilt. They made your house quilt, homey!
