I also agree with everyone. I had to look real hard to see what you were talking about. You can also say if anyone asks that it is the original design. But my guess is everyone who sees it will love it.

I agree with the other posts don't sweat the small stuff. Also as a mother of a Captain in the army your quilt will be so much appreciated and loved.
