I would do a meandering in the background of the dragons and then do a stitch in the ditch on all the dragons.

What batting will you be using? How large are the blocks? You will want to quilt close enough to hold the batting in place for years to come with a quilt as adorable as yours. Since I normally use cotton batting which needs to be quilted about every 4 inches, I would SID the sashings, the borders, around the dragons and also SID stitch on the dragons themselves. Then I really like the idea of flames in the background and on the borders. The SID around and on the dragons will really make them pop and if the backing is a fabric that "reads" as a solid the back will be beautiful also.

I know lots of you do beautiful quilting. What do you suggest I do with this quilt top?
I have a little Gracie frame and am going for some lessons as I have had it ages and not really used it.
What would you suggest I do either with the frame or without?
That is beautiful. Where did you get the dragons?

This is a fantastic quilt. Waiting to see the quilting you decide to do on it.

I'd do a background fill too..then I'd do some detail on each dragon and change thread to match the dragons.
