He did a great job. But for those who wish they had someone to do that for them -- Do it yourself! I find woodworking is a lot like quilting. If you can handle a rotary cutter you can handle a saw! The task is the same, just the materials are different. I also find woodworking and quilting equally satisfying.

Your husband did a great job. That table is just like the one my (this) computer is sitting on in my sewing room. Yes, you are brave to cut it. Hmmm . . . . my brother can do the same thing. I like the hinge idea.

I have been sewing at this table today and it is sooo comfortable. No aches in the shoulders yet and it's such a pleasure to sit there and so much easier to work at. It's the best sewing station I have ever had after all these years :)

AWESOME!!! My Step Dad did the same thing for me a couple of years ago out of our old dining room table. It does help the shoulders/arms and you also have more room to let the quilt puddle on to the left side!
