Hummingbird
The hummingbirds were on the giveaway table at guild meeting. The rest of the fabric was stash.
It’s been a long time since I’ve fmq. The feathers were challenging and encouraging.
The quilted hummingbirds are cartoon images from internet.
It’s imperfect. I’m not a computer.
still needs binding. Not sure what to use. Blue sashing is all gone. Maybe black.

Great quilt. Can't beat giveaway fabric and stash for making a wonderful quilt. The quilted hummingbirds are terrific in my opinion. Perfect? Who cares? Someone will love that quilt. Black binding would look very good.

At the guild meeting hummingbirds were given away while the rest of the fabric was kept in the stash. After a long break from free motion quilting the challenging yet encouraging feather designs were stitched. The quilted hummingbirds were imperfect cartoon images from the internet. Now deciding on binding considering black due to the lack of blue sashing.

It looks great to me, I strive for perfection but it never happens. I'm happy that I can still sew and quilt. Making something that will keep someone warm and bring them joy is all I strive for. I do make a lot of small charity quilts for children, they are easier to quilt and I can finish them quicker.
