Default A Hunter's Star For My Sister

Being the second oldest of 9, I didn't really have a plan to make bed sized quilts for my siblings. Perhaps lap quilts, but not bed sized quilts. At least not until my girls are grown and I"m no longer home schooling. Then, this year, the second and third youngest of us graduated (twins) and they both wanted a quilt as a joint Christmas/Graduation gift. How could I say no to the babies of the family? The actual baby of the family, who just turned 17 and is graduating this month, could care less about a quilt, but the twins are sentimental souls and since there's 12 years between myself and the twins, I'm quite maternal with them. Especially after our mother passed 8 years ago and I'm the second oldest (after my step sister).

When my sister (one of the twins) asked, I thought about stars. Her twin, my brother, loves a Day & Night quilt I made for myself, so I thought I would make him one of those. I didn't want to make the same thing for my sister, but still wanted to keep with the star theme. She loves purples, grays, blacks and greens, but I made her some purple, gray and black lap quilts earlier in the year. So, that left black and green. So, here she is. Thanks for looking.

I have both of those fabrics! Amazing how you can take only 2 fabrics and make something so stunning and beautiful. Great work, on this and your brother's day and night.
