Hurricane Sandy/ Moda's Summer Breeze Quilt

I have a g/f from high school who lost absolutely everything in the storm. When I saw the need for quilts for those effected by the storm my thoughts turned to Sharon. I had been hanging onto my Summer Breeze collection of fabric and decided I would make a new keepsake for her. I chose the Stepping Stones pattern from Lyer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott. I completed the sandwiching of this quilt and binding using Elmer's Washable School Glue and couldn't be more happy with the results. I FMQ this on my Sapphire 830, put a label on it, washed it at the laundry mat with a couple of Color Catchers and sent it by Fedex on Monday afternoon to New Jersey.

What a wonderful kindness to do for someone who is going through one of the worst experiences of her life....thank you for doing that for her. I know she's going to be in tears when she sees it....because its so beautiful, because you thought of her and wanted to help, and because there's so much darkness in her life right now and then your beautiful quilt arrives to add some light. Good for you!

I love it..I have 4 charm packs of that same pattern and have been waiting to make a quilt for me out of them. Yours is so beautiful so now I'm really anxious to get 'er done !!
Families are like old quilts....although they tend to unravel at times...each can be stitched back together with love.

It's gorgeous! You did a great job. Bless your generous heart!
Where did you get the Summer Breeze fabric. I HAVE to order some of it. It's so soft and pretty.
    Thanks.

Just reread the title and saw that the fabric is from Moda.
My Bad! I apologize for asking the question without looking carefully at the post.
