    Did you make up your own applique patterns for the animals? If so, and you don't mind my asking, how did you go about doing it? My DH would so love a quilt like this! Its really gorgeous!

    I got most of my patterns from a quilt book A Forest of Quilts by: Terri Kralik. and I did the iron applique.

    I don't have a long home but I agree that would look nice in a cabin or log home--wait, I have a cabin that it would look great in if hubby ever tires of it. LOL I really like that look and it is very manly quilt. And making it up as you go is even more special.
