The individual Hydrangeas are made from 44 circles folded into squares, then folded again into smaller squares. They are then tacked to the background, I've added beads to mine. Here are some pictures, hope I don't stuff up again.

You're not dense, just better with pics. Will post tutorial later today. Have never done that before, so hope it's going to be clear enough.
