Default Hydrangea Quilted Rugs

This is the third installment of my hydrangea set.

#1 - http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...a-t223440.html

#2 - http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t224724.html

I made 2 rugs to match my 4 patch posey hydrangea set. I used new black towels, trimmed the edge seams and the woven stripe part off, sandwiched it w/black poly felt, and pieced tops. Loaded it on the frame and quilted it w/the same hydrangea panto using C&C Star machine quilting thread (black on the bottom and pink on the top). Had to raise the foot to accommodate the extra thickness, but it went quite well. Bound it using 3 1/2" binding due to the thickness of the sandwich. Sprayed the back w/Super Grip spray (Ace Hardware) to keep it from sliding.
I was concerned about it being flimsy, that's why I added the felt. It has a nice solid feel to it. My next project will be to make matching towels, just simple bands of fabric on one edge.
