Finding your happy zone is part of why most of us like quilting. If it starts stressing you, then it is not your bliss anymore. You made a gorgeous quilt here. Another perspective is that you are simply curious about how many combinations of purple are there for you to make? That is an intellectual and very good question. I wouldn't call this a rut my friend. You are answering an age old question for all of us. Somebody has to do it!
