If you take a photo slightly to the side, instead of straight on, it does show the quilting better. You are doing well on your feathers. They take practice like many things do but you can do some of that practicing on paper. You can draw them on paper while talking on the phone and it gets that pattern into your brain. My favorite thing to quilt is a feather design. I'm glad you are enjoying them too.
