I don't know what it is, but it looks very interesting!! :D Where did you find such a treasure? I am sure that several of us would love to know what it is, too & what purpose it serves. I think that I am behind the times without this knowledge!! Thank you for sharing.

It is from a porcupine in Africa. They get much bigger there than they get here. Every once in a while I will see one at a craft shop. I'm used to seeing the smaller ones from the North American Porcupine in Native American bead work. They make great earrings. (The smaller ones that is.) :wink:
