Would love to know your finished size since you said you made the blocks smaller. What sizes are your blocks and did you make the sashing smaller than what the pattern calls for also?
I made the blocks 5 x 7...and yes I made the sashing smaller--1.25" Here's the trick: Once you decide on the width of the main strips--(they should be about 2" different)--then add whatever width sashing you want--iron, then measure the width of each strip set and cut the other set in pieces that match. Then all the blocks are the same!
Thank you so much for the info!! What were the final dimensions of your quilt? And are the 5x7 and 1.25 your cut size or your finished sewing size? Again, thanks and sorry I am asking so many questions.

    Hugs to you.....
Final quilt size is 50 by 65. The blocks are 5 x 7 before I sewed them together. 1.25 was the cut size.
    How's that?

I had a day with my daughter and Borders was one of our stops; a student gave me a gfit card for there. I was looking at quilting magazines and saw the exact same pattern--different fabrics of course--in another magazine! I didn't think that was legal. I don't remember the title, but the cutting instructions were the same. Huh.

I have fabrics selected for another--totally different from this one. :D But I have to finish the 50 floral lc blocks first.

Photos from the quilter!! She did a fabulous job! It's perfect, perfect, perfect. This member is bringing her mom to my place later this month to watch the horse show we put on for senior living residents. It'll make the day more exciting to know I'll get to see it in person. :-D

Very cute. I have this magazine also.
It always amazes me how different quilts looks when you change the fabric.
    Love yours.
