I've never one either but have one on my shelf for later this year. The recipents have already picked out their fabrics too. But as I'm teaching the gent how to make his 1st quilt, I told them that if he doesn't finish his, I will but will make it larger and that will be their quilt from me. Its an incentive for him to finish it so he's not in the "doghouse" with his wife.

And he's doing very well on his though he had a slow start.

That is an absolutely beautiful quilt. You did great job and I am sure the recipient will treasure it.

DWRs are a real favorite for me because they have made the transition from traditional to modern or contemporary so beautifully. Your quilt for the upcoming wedding is so beautiful in this color scheme. I know it will be loved and you should be so pleased with your quilt.
