Default I finally did it!!! - Quilting with stencils

The quilt is 40x40, so it was easy enough to work with. I have tried FMQ so many times and just get too frustrated.

So I bought a whole bunch of stencils and read up on quilting with walking foot.

I think I did a pretty good job!!!

And a close up of 1/4 of the back

It doesn't look super flat right now because I washed it and dried it to get all of the markings off! But it IS flat and even and no boo boos!!!!

You did fantastic! I have trouble with FM quilting also but I love it on quilts. I think stencils are the way to go for people like me. I have a couple that I've used a lot. Keep up the good work. I really like the quilt you made & the colors are beautiful.

it looks great! I have a ton of stencils that I use and couldn't FMQ without them.. maybe someday I will be braver to skip the stencil

What I would really like is a quick and easy way to mark the quilt!!
