jacquemoe,

Your quilt is beautiful and I love it. Should have a Grandmother like you to make me beautiful quilts.

Answer to your question............Both. I've been wanting to try two battings to see just how wam and puffy it would turn out. IMHO, some quilts look nice all puffy. I'm pleased with the puffiness in this case.

"warm & white batting with an extra layer of high loft polyester"
Do you mean you laid down the warm & white & then the high loft on top of that while you were sandwiching your quilt?
Yes. I did exactly that.......two battings. I wanted the puffiness on the top so I laid the hi loft under the quilt top and the W & W next to the backing.

The blue is so lovely and soft! I love you you did her name, and the border with the hearts is beautiful! She's a lucky little girl to have a grandma with your talents--I'll bet she can plan on being the recipient of many gorgeous quilts in the future!

Hi Jaquemoe,

I am glad to see you back Jacque. I love seeing your work. This one is just beautiful. I have a soft spot for the hearts on quilts. I know she is going to cherish it. You did good grandma!

Very nice! Love all the quilting, and I was glad you said it was a bit stiff until it gets some launderings. I always wondered about that with the close machine quilting.
I live all the stuff I learn here on the board.
