    Finished it tonight and will take it to quilters tomorrow to be able to take it up to my grand baby next week.

    What a great quilt! The black around the blocks just make it pop. I love it & bet your grandbaby will for many years. You did a very nice job.

    Thank you all.. I am off to the quilters with it today he will get it done in time to take it to you thursday next week ;) I get to spend 16 days with them and am also looking at homes up there) My daughter hubby and grandbaby live 6 hours away now :( Another baby on the way. ..need to be closer.

    It just seemed to showcase the charms well.. black on black.. but i bet burgandy would look great too .. am anxious to try another one.

    Yes, I love the black "frame" around each square. Great idea -- and any color of sashing could used against the black. I have lots of I Spy squares that I will have to finish this way.
