    Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! I like it just as you have it. I expect he will like it very much too. You did a good job. You can be proud to give him that quilt.

    Yes it is the pattern that came with the ruler, I got to bring it home from my LQS to test it out to see how people who are semi new to quilting will do with it...needless to say i love it :-)
