In 2008 I went on a quilting cruise to Alaska and found many beautiful fabrics and kits in the ports-of-call along the way. This one is from a tiny quilt shop in Skagway. It is called Glacier for obvious reasons and the design is by Lisa Moore. I finally made it this spring. It is hard to tell from the photos, but there are about 400 heat set crystals to make it catch the light like a real glacier. Hope you like it.

It does look like a glacier. Great kit. I bet I was in the same little shop in Skagway.

Beautiful quilt, lots of tedious putting on all of those crystals. But what a beautiful reminder of the trip.
