Thanks everyone! I ended up taking about 12 inches out of the ruffle -- ripped the seams and then sewed it back together. I was a pain but it was worth it

Vasilisa - not sure what type of close up you are looking for. But here's one. I have the quilt wrapped now so I can't get another pictures. Its Boyd's Bears fabric that I found a couple of years ago. Its cute fabric
