ScubaK, I didn’t do it with paper piecing I just think it would probably be easier and probably less waste. This is a free pattern on quilting digest. I think it’s called fabric for every season. I posted what I thought was the link however didn’t do correctly so it wasn’t clickable. If you look at my post under “in search of “ Iceblossom was kind enough to post the link properly.

Very nice topper...I've made the pattern before only it wasn't paper pieced. Have never tried paper piecing... don't think I'd like it.

lindaschipper, I don't know why some people think this was done with paper piecing, unless it's a compliment to good sewing? No seriously I said I don't like paper piecing but think that this would probably have been better done by paper piecing because there is a lot of fabric waste. They tell you to cut 4 1/2 inch squares then you sew on diagonal and cut the rest is waste. Since you made it do you think it was wasteful?
