Is this continuous or did you start each swirl. I cant tell if you retraced the swirl or not. Thank you in advace.
I have a Gammill Statler and it is computerized. The pattern is continuous and it does restitch over the swirls. There are times when I like that and there are times when I don't. In this case I chose to do it so that it would show up more on the back... the quilting in the borders only shows on the back... not hardly at all on the front.
Thank you for taking a look.

Well, that explains it...thanks for taking time to answer.

I have drawn some swirls and was trying to figure out how to do it.. guess Ill have to practice to see if I can retrace better.. Im not too good at retracing exactly and dont like the look when I miss.

Lovely piecing and quilting. I agree - if I were to make one I also would use the same color palette.

I love the Irish chain. It has all those wonderful places to quilt in. Your colors and your quilting are beautiful

Thank you for sharing these photos. Your quilting is wonderful. The Irish Chain and Double Irish Chain intrigue me. It is definatley on my list of things to do. Just haven't quite decided whether or not to make it a true 2 color quilt or something more like this.

Nothe center is applique and she actually did not even finish it. If you look at her center flower and then off from it comes the leaves then in the center of the leaf part has a spot for a 3D bud.... she was so sick of doing the applique that she would not even finish by putting in the 3D bud. She said that was all she was willing to do. How funny is that.

You did a beautiful job on the Quilting. Since I started quilting for others, I don't seem to have time to make quilts for myself anymore either.
