Default I have looked forever for a sewing desk

I have needed a sewing desk for forever I think. The one I had had the machine on the left edge so when I sewed quilts they would fall off the edge and pull the quilt from under the needle. Very frustrating. I went to the goodwill and found the one in the picture. I think it was God. I had no way to get it home and I misread the price thinking it was $40 and it was $14.99!! I had no way to get it home and a neighbor heard me talking about the desk and offered to bring it home and get it into my house. I live in a mobile so getting it in was a challenge. So now I have a wonderful sewing desk. I plan on making a clear acrylic piece to cover the space around the machine arm and take off the one that came with the machine. I don't know how good I will do with cutting the acrylic to size. I have never done curves and am worried about getting a good fit. Thought I would share!! I guess you never know where you can find the prefect thing.

Boy, that is a perfect piece of furniture to quilt or sew anything on. You did good. You can also cut the plastic just fine.

Wow you did great. I too have been looking FOREVER for a desk like yours. Maybe you finding one is a sign I need to search again as I had somewhat given up.

Oh lucky lady! What a nice desk you have now. I used to have a sewing machine just like yours. I bought it new when my kids were little. That machine is a work horse! I passed it on to my younger sister now and she loves it.
