I love applique but due to a pinched nerve I can't do hand applique so I started doing raw edge fusible applique fairly soon after I started quilting. I love the technique because it is so fast and easy, yet it looks complicated and time consuming. I really like to piece the middle part and then applique the border. This picture is of a quilt I am just getting ready to bind. It is all raw edge fusible applique and is for a very good friend who has breast cancer. This is one of the larger quilts I have made, it is approximately 6' x 7'.

Beautiful! I am envious at your skill and the efforts of your labors. Your friend will feel so cherished when she receives this.
