Reminds me of my mom. She always did a lot of clothing construction, & then when she got older she took a beginner quilting class. Her first project was a 9 patch. The first time we visited her, she was so proud of the 9 patch she had made. She's gone for about 10 yrs. now, & I always miss her when I learn something new. I'm sure we would have a ball quilting together.

That is a beautiful start! Love the colors. It would probably make a beautiful disappearing nine patch too.
