I didn't have a pattern, but I did make it. When my quilts are being pieced, there are lots of bags, plastic storage, etc. that I can use for carring my projects, in the begining stage, but try to carry a whole quilt around to do my hand quilting, no bag was big enough, this measures about 28" tall and 28" wide with a bottom of about 7"-8". It almost drags the floor when I have a queen or king size quilt in it. The dowel rod is 3/4" round.

hey thats fantastic! i've been sitting here thinking of making one of those for those exact reasons as well! i'm tired of looking like a dork going into beginners class with a plastic bag! i was thinking that 14x18x6 might be big enough?? it's going to take a while before i make a king sized quilt! when i end up getting around to mine, IF it turns out, ill post it as well, just love yours!!!!! :!:

Oh my gosh, you could even get a hoop in there with the quilt if you wanted to! Wonderful!

Wow that is a big bag! Great job, It looks VERY well made, for carrying around heavy quilts, and not a stretched seam to be found. Good job.
