Beautiful - I've always wanted to make one, but for my fence. Don't have a barn :-)

Love yours. We didn't have a barn either though live in the country, so when the guys finished our small shed, I painted the doors with four blocks.

Congrats on a beautiful block. Your points are perfect! Do you recall the name of your block?

Thank you everyone for your comments. Copycat the block is a "Shooting Star" block http://nancycabotsewalong.blogspot.c...ilt-block.html. Next up on the agenda (next year) I'm going to try to do train block for my oldest son who's an engineer using a pattern from one of his son's puzzles.
I should be able to draw onto graph paper in dimensions that would work.

Your barn quilt looks great! I’ve made several…painting is a fun change from quilting..especially when it still involves quilting…lol. I‘’lol be working on some more over the Winter. The train will be super fun to recreate. Be sure to share…

Thanks for the link to the Shooting Star block! I enjoyed the blog and seeing the block made so many ways using different fabrics. Using the Puzzle for your pattern for the train block is a wonderful idea.
