Thank you for all the great comments. You can get Geta's patterns at:
http://romanianquiltstudio.com/english/patterns.htm

She recommended Decor Bond by Pellon and that is what I used. I also used some lightweight Pellon for the zippered pocket. My lining fabric is much lighter weight and I wanted that pocket to hold up well.

I want Geta to be swamped with requests. These are excellent patterns!

I've made 6 using the pattern for the 2nd one you showed. They all get compliments every time they are used. I even had one woman chase me down in Wal-Mart to ask where I bought my purse. She couldn't believe I made it. I use extra stiff interfacing (I used quilter's cotton material) since I like them to hold their shape. They do soften up some after washing. I absolutely love this pattern and making the purses. For one, I shrunk the size to about 75% and made one with Hello Kitty for a little girl. She loves it so much that when she isn't using it she has her Mom put in away so the other children can't bother it. Greta does such a great job with her patterns. They are so easy to follow. I'm hoping she makes some more.

I went to the site too and signed up for her updates. These are going on my list of things to make.

They are really pretty. Just looked at Greta's bags earlier this evening. Great job.

I think you did a wonderful job and loved seeing all the detail in it. I've wanted to make myself some bags, and you have encouraged me.
