Look! The first outfit I ever sewed! I didn't even have a pattern! Not to mention she was busy most of the time I was working on it so I didn't hardly have a model either. This is a v-neck top, with a gathered skirt, I used nearly the entire 1/2 a yard of pink with green polka dot fabric that I had. Only cutting off enough to stop the skirt at her knees. I'm surprised at how quickly this went together and how it turned out.

She does, this morning before I'd even gotten my eyes open she was begging to put it on. Last night (when she was trying it on) she told her daddy her dress was "So pretty".

I'm sure a certain Walt Disney didn't know the full effect Minnie's Polka Dot dress would have on girls for years to come!

I did the math on it last night, I bought her new shoes $5, and I have $5 in the dress, but shoot, I started it at 4 last night and by 8 she was happily walking around in it, and I cooked dinner and ate it too in that time.

That's a great idea Loretta, I have more than enough material to do something like that. Any tips for a head band?

What a cute sundress. Your daughter is pretty cute too! What a cutie! I can't believe you didn't have a pattern. I'm impressed!
