I recently bordered a CrossRoads quilt with HSTs out of the leftovers - It turned out real pretty I think the zig-zaggy look will work for yours

I do that often in my quilts to set the main body apart from the borders. Then put on the color you most love or both.

I personally like the blue, however, you could do brown on 2 sides and blue on the other 2 sides. Very nice quilt.
