I STARTED THIS QUILT 2 YEARS AGO...ORINIONALLY I USED A BURGENDY AND GREEN FOR THE BACKGROUND..WHEN I CAME TO MY SENSES I REALIZED THE GREEN WAS WRONG..BUT UNSURE OF THE BURGENDY AS WELL SO I HAVE REMOVED THE GRANDMOTHERS GARDEN OFF THE SQUARES...AND CONSIDERING THE BURGENDY ONCE AGAIN WITH AN OFF WHIIE....PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION AND ALSO CONSIDERING BLACK FOR THE SASHING

I am not a professional by any means but I would have used a cream or light tan (to match the hexs in the middle) instead of the white backing squares and maybe a rust color for your sashing. Try to pull out another color from your flowered print. I think these are beautiful and will look awesome for a quilt...please post pics when you have the finished quilt. Good luck.

I like the off white best also. As for the sashing would the green work for that? Is that green or black in with the floral? Whatever the darker color is there I would use as the sashing. Then maybe a burgundy for the outer border or binding.
Show us what you do decide. ☺

I have to say that I agree with Drgntatoo that a cream or light tan would probably work best. I think the white appears too harsh for the beautiful flowers. And I too would pick up the green or dark color from the wreaths for the binding and border.
